What do you LOVE about the heat: “I love the heat as it really test your endurance and perseverance. The heat makes me feel stronger and really helps take my fitness to another level.”
What is your workout routine: “It is aminos and compression booties, I am religious about the combination.”

Favorite Workout: “I love all the classes I take and all the instructors, but my absolute favorite is Hot Barre Sculpt with Lisa. I first took a Barre class 12 years ago and fell in love with it! Lisa is an amazing instructor who gives very clear directions and works all the muscles in different ways. I always leave feeling stronger and with a happy heart and soul!” Favorite Exercise: “Well, I wouldn’t say it is my favorite but lately, I’ve been loving push ups. I had carpal tunnel for a very long time and finally had surgery last January, so I’ve always modified by doing push-ups on the barre until recently. The first time I did the.” What do you LOVE about the heat:”I’m sure I’m not alone in having friends who think I’m crazy for doing heated classes, but they don’t know what they are missing. I love sweating out all the toxins both literally and figuratively!
What is your after workout routine: “During the school year I mostly do 5:15am classes, so my after workout routine is hitting the button to start my coffee and jumping in the shower. If I don’t have work after class, I typically take my dog on a walk so he gets his exercise and I get my steps!”

Favorite Workout: Hot Strength! The combination of heat and heavy weights is my ultimate sweat, I mean, sweet spot. I love that at WFC, no matter what the workout is, there’s always a way to push yourself and challenge your limits. And Hot Pilates? The variety keeps me guessing, my brain working as hard as my body, and every class feels fresh and new! I also love working in Hot Yoga and Barre once or twice a week, for the body and the mind. So, basically, I love everything here.
Favorite Exercise: I LOVE burpees! A full-body burner with infinite variations, making it both super fun and ridiculously hard—just how I like it! While push-ups really challenge me every single time, I’m always working to improve them just a little. And I can’t get enough of big, powerful movements like cleans, snatches, and squat presses—anything that lets me toss some weight around!
Why I Love the Heat: I’m officially addicted to the WFC sweat life! The heat makes everything harder, more intense, and incredibly rewarding. I love the comfort of the warm room, the detoxifying sweat, and the way it amplifies every move. Honestly, everything feels cold now that I’m spoiled by WFC!
Post-Workout Routine: Let’s be real—most days, I’m rushing off to work, so if I’m lucky, I squeeze in a quick shower and a protein shake. But the real fun? Still sweating an hour post-workout!
What WFC Means to Me: Lastly, I want to show my growing boys the value of hard work, strength, and commitment. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to commit, try hard and the rest will follow, and that’s what gets me through those doors as often as possible.

Favorite Workout: I really enjoy all of the workouts but Pilates has the slight edge because of the core focus and added cardio challenge. It’s also not fair to choose just one, so special shout out to Strength, Boxing, and Yoga!
Favorite Exercise: Hollow hold variations, especially as a finisher, it’s my favorite way to close out a workout.
Why I Love the Heat: The heat creates an intense challenge that takes mental focus and determination to work through. I’ve discovered a lot of calm through the process and leave the workouts feeling clear and energized.
Post-Workout Routine: I make a whey protein smoothie with blueberries, bananas, and chocolate milk. It’s super delicious
What WFC Means to Me:
I’m grateful to have found WFC and a community that’s so health and fitness driven. The instructors are inspiring and work incredibly hard to motivate and support us through our days and weeks of training. Every class is different and I really appreciate that.

Favorite Workout: Robert’s Favorite is strength, less excited about cardio! You can get a great overall workout for 40 min… including leg day. Tracey especially enjoys Barre for the focus on core and flexibility.
Favorite Exercise: We both agree on planks and squats, the focus on core and balance is so important!
Why I Love the Heat: Several reasons… easier to get started than when you are cold, gives greater flexibility and gets the heart rate up easily!
Post-Workout Routine: A quick shower of course! But then it is getting some protein! Scrambled eggs or Quiche are the favorites
What WFC Means to Me:
We love how some of the instructors stick in some quick stretches along the way, right after a set that focuses on the particular muscle group just worked, which completes the set. We enjoy how friendly the front desk staff is. Jackie, Ava and Alex (to name a few) always greet everyone with a big smile and words of encouragement on the way in and the way out.. which makes it more inviting. We also appreciate the friendly atmosphere with the other folks taking classes, the simple smile and nods helps to create a positive environment to work out in. We think that a part of the friendliness too is that the classes are very good and strenuous, giving everyone a great workout and releasing all those positive endorphins!

”Since joining Windsor Fitness, my life has completely transformed. Over the last year and a half, I’ve lost 80 pounds, and if it weren’t for this incredible gym, I never would’ve held myself accountable. What do you LOVE about the heat: ”It improves cardiovascular endurance by forcing your hearts to work harder to cool your body down, leading to better stamina and heart tolerance when acclimated properly.”
What is your after workout routine: “Hydrate, fuel, decaf coffee, work.” Fun Fact: “WFC is filled with top tier knowledgeable instructors and party starters. I started taking classes here after I broke my ring finger in hopes of building upper body strength.“

Favorite Exercise: “I love working arms and shoulders, so any exercise that works upper body.”
What do you LOVE about the heat: ”I love the heat because I feel more energized and it’s such a good way to start my day.”
What is your after workout routine: “I am not a morning person, but had to find a way to fit WFC in my busy life, so that meant early morning classes. I have been known to sleep in what I’m wearing to class the next day. It’s become a strict routine for me—6:15 class, then when I’m home its the regular morning scramble to get kids to school and myself to work on time. The only thing I do consistently besides WFC is grab a Diet Coke.”
Fun Fact: “This is the only thing I have been able to stick to consistently and its helped me shed a lot of weight. Now it’s so fun to see the same smiling faces around town from my morning workouts.“

Favorite Workout: My favorite workout is definitely hot strength and hot Pilates.
Favorite Exercise: My favorite exercise are planks and burpees.
Why I Love the Heat: I absolutely love the heat and could not imagine working out without it now. I feel like it helps keep me from injuring myself, and I love the detox you get from sweating so much.
Post-Workout Routine: My after workout routine is usually a 2 1/2 mile walk with my dog, followed by a high protein breakfast and some LMNT and creatine.

Why I Love the Heat:
I love the heat because your body feels good and sweating feels so detoxifying. It’s a different type of challenge and you have to push yourself mentally and physically.
Post-Workout Routine:
After workout routine is a protein shake and then off to work.
Anything extra you’d like to add?
I am so happy I found Windsor fitness club. Throughout the years I have struggled to have a consistent workout schedule. It was always sporadic. Once I started taking the classes here I was hooked. The heat combined with all the amazing trainers have made me look forward to coming, even at 5 am. I am great full to be apart of such a wonderful community.

“Because of the heat, I actually prioritize my Pre-Workout routine to make sure I’m really hydrated before & during class. Flavcity Electrolytes, Kaged Creatine, & Pre-Kaged pre-workout supplements. I also prioritize protein with every meal.“ – Julie
“First and foremost I always ensure that I am very well hydrated! I use a LMNT packet in my water bottle to ensure optimal hydration and keep the right amount of electrolytes in balance. I use Creatine by Thorne and ensure I get enough protein post workout.” – Trish

What’s your favorite workout?
Honestly, it’s hard to choose—it totally depends on my day, my mood, and how much sleep I got the night before!! Lately, though, I’m loving mixing it up! Combining Barre or Yoga with my usual Pilates and Strength workouts has been a total game-changer.
Favorite exercise?
Bridges, hands down. Give me a good, long bridge session, and I’m one happy camper! Throw in a band and some weights, yes please!
Why do you love the heat?
The heat has been a lifesaver for my body—whether it’s old injuries, knee issues, or general aches. I still remember the first time I tried switchbacks in Vanessa’s class. My knees weren’t thrilled, and I thought, There’s no way I can do this. But now? No problem… and my knees are on board too!
What’s your after-workout routine?
Morning classes are my jam, so post-class = coffee. Always. Also, hydration is key—I drink all the water!
Anything extra to add? Where do I even start? This place is so special. It’s the first fitness community in years where I’ve felt truly comfortable, confident, and motivated. I joined around Thanksgiving 2023, and I think my first class was Barre (my OG love!). Since then, I’ve discovered so much more to love—not just the variety of classes, but the incredible instructors. Each one brings their own unique magic and tools to help us all feel stronger and better. Thank you, Allison and team, for helping me rediscover me!
Tami & Ali Axthelm

Favorite Workout:
Ali -Pilates is my go-to. I love how it challenges me in all the right ways without being too hard on my body. And working out with loud music makes it even better—it keeps the energy up and makes the whole class feel more fun.
Tami – I also love Pilates, but like mixing it up with Strength as well as Barre
Favorite Exercise:
Ali – Anything core-focused. I like stuff like Russian twists or dead bugs with a band and weight. It’s tough but kinda fun.
Tami – Core and arms are my favorite focus.
Why I Love the Heat:
Ali – The heat makes my skin feel amazing and gives me that satisfying, detoxifying sweat. I always walk out feeling lighter, refreshed, and kind of like I just hit a reset button.
Tami – The heat makes it easier for me to move and I feel refreshed after I finally cool down and recover.
Post-Workout Routine:
Ali – Sometimes, it’s a quick Starbucks run. Oops!! It might cancel out a few of those burned calories, but it definitely adds to the whole feel-good vibe.
Tami – If me and Ali hit the same class we usually stop in for a Starbucks. May destroy the work we just did but it helps make the morning more satisfying. Otherwise, I head home and eat a protein rich breakfast and cruise into work.
Anything extra you’d like to add?
Ali – Being part of this community since day one has been so cool. The energy is always good, and class is something I genuinely look forward to.
Tami – I am grateful that I was introduced to Pilates. It is the one of the only types of fitness that I have been able to commit myself to and continue to go on a regular basis.
